Wonderful place, so peaceful and relaxing. Didn't want to leave.
Went early morning with my dog, Yoder, to check it out and do some hiking. The wooded hiking trails are not completed yet, but we enjoyed touring the beach and camping areas. Very clean and peaceful . Staff was very welcoming, including their dog, Ranger. We'll definitely go back .
Cabins were nicer than expected and the kids had a blast. Here's the kicker, my son was unfortunately injured while playing and a member of the management team (I believe his name was Adam) showed genuine concern for his well being. He even came by the cabin to check on him. My family and I will definitely be back.
I can only give this place a 3. The good: spacious, nice sites. There was no one to pay! Bad: the splash pad closes on labor day, but the web site says it's open. Gnats, facilities need repair and paint. I have a big camper so the facilities were no big deal. Good TV and cell reception. The exciting: the first four across the street and the 4 fire truck needed to put it out.
